Put Taqlyn in an Android app so first-open restores destinationPath, and https links open the app when it is installed.

#Prerequisites

  • Quickstart: app created, Android bound, sandbox clientId + publicKeyId
  • Package name and SHA-256 fingerprints (upload key and Play App Signing)
  • A physical device to prove deferred matching; emulator is fine for App Links

#1. Bind

Dashboard → Apps → Android. See Apps.

#2. Install and configure

Add the Taqlyn Android SDK, then:

Kotlin
class App : Application() {
  override fun onCreate() {
    super.onCreate()
    SdkCore.configure(
      clientId = "app_test_…",
      publicKeyId = "pk_test_…",
      options = SdkOptions(env = "sandbox"),
      context = this,
    )
  }
}

The SDK talks to https://api.taqlyn.com.

Add a verified intent filter for your Taqlyn host and forward intents:

Kotlin
override fun onCreate(savedInstanceState: Bundle?) {
  super.onCreate(savedInstanceState)
  intent?.let { SdkCore.onIntent(it) }
}

override fun onNewIntent(intent: Intent) {
  super.onNewIntent(intent)
  setIntent(intent)
  SdkCore.onIntent(intent)
}

Snippet and filter: App Links.

#4. Resolve after splash

Kotlin
lifecycleScope.launch {
  SdkCore.resolveDeferred()
  SdkCore.setReadyForNavigation(true)
}

SdkCore.observeLinks().onEach { link ->
  // Map link.path / link.params to a route, then:
  SdkCore.consume(link.linkId)
}.launchIn(scope)

#Check it

  • Warm: adb shell am start -a android.intent.action.VIEW -d 'https://YOUR_HOST/CODE'
  • Deferred: install from Play on a device, cold-start once, confirm path / params, second launch empty

Optional Navigation Compose: Android navigation.
